Important information for parents and guardians:

Although marketed as a children’s game, ROBLOX the popular children’s gaming platform has been identified as a platform being used by some adults to target children for the purposes of grooming and trying to engage in sexual conversations. 

These adults are messaging children in chat rooms and game servers to befriend them, sometimes posing as children themselves. They are then having private chats with these children on Roblox and sometimes attempting to add them on other platforms away from Roblox to continue this behaviour.  

It is important parents and guardians are vigilant at monitoring who their children are communicating with online and the types of chat rooms they are in as some users pose a danger to children. Roblox should be a fun platform for children to use but children’s activity should be monitored to help keep them safe. 

Child settings should be applied to Roblox accounts to limit the freedom on this platform and ensure safety.
